What does a full abdominoplasty involve?
Your tummy tuck surgery will begin with a discreet incision in the pubic area. Excess skin will be tightened and trimmed. Your abdominal muscles can also be tightened, and excess fat can be removed using liposuction.
The tummy tuck incision will be closed with dissolvable stitches, and a dressing will be applied.
Tummy tuck abdominoplasty surgery is performed under general anaesthetic; a full abdominoplasty takes 2 – 3 hours.
What is a mini tummy tuck?
Mini abdominoplasty surgery targets excess skin under the tummy button.
Many patients consult us about a mini tummy tuck because they have a slight overhang of fat and excess skin under the tummy button. This effect can develop after a C-section or other surgery has affected the skin or the abdominal muscles.
