Spider Veins

Sometimes called thread veins, spider veins are small, narrow veins that have burst or swollen beneath the skin. They typically appear as jagged purple or blue lines, and spider veins are usually seen across the skin on our face and our legs.

Spider veins are not uncommon – approximately 60% of adults experience them. Whilst everyone is susceptible to spider veins, women are twice as likely to suffer from them compared to men.
