Kelly joined the Coppergate Clinic team in 2025 as a Theatre Assistant, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from over a decade of diverse healthcare experience. She is passionate about patient care, recovery, and support, and relishes the opportunity to contribute to the caring, patient-centred ethos that defines Coppergate Clinic.
As one of our healthcare assistants, Kelly supports our surgeons in theatre while providing comfort and reassurance to patients throughout their surgical journey. Her calm and compassionate presence helps put patients at ease, and she is always ready to offer a hand to hold when needed.
Kelly’s clinical journey began in 2005 at Nottingham City Hospital – Queen’s Medical Centre, where she spent almost ten years developing a strong and varied foundation in healthcare. She began her career as a healthcare assistant in orthopaedics, later becoming a physiotherapy assistant on the Stroke unit, before progressing into a dual role as a physiotherapist and occupational therapist, returning once again to orthopaedics. During this time, Kelly’s dedication to her career saw her progress rapidly from Band 2 to Band 4. She holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a recognised Diploma in Swedish Body Massage.
Following her time in the UK, Kelly moved to Portugal in 2015, living first in the Algarve and later in Lisbon. During this period, she worked in private care before joining an aesthetics clinic as a doctor’s assistant, an experience that sparked her love for aesthetic treatments and surgical assistance, ultimately shaping her future career path. Kelly is motivated by the remarkable transformations that aesthetic treatments can bring to a patient’s confidence and quality of life. Seeing the happiness and satisfaction of her patients inspires and drives her work in aesthetics every day.
Kelly relocated to York in 2025, choosing the city to support her son’s education. Along with her husband, son, and dog, she has settled happily into family life and has since become a valued member of the Coppergate Clinic team. Her special interests lie in patient care, recovery, and support, and she is dedicated to ensuring every individual feels safe, comfortable, and fully informed throughout their treatment journey.
Kelly’s approach centers on calm, compassionate, and attentive care. She believes in building trust through clear communication, professionalism, and empathy, striving to create a reassuring environment from pre-operative preparation through to post-treatment recovery.
Outside of work, Kelly’s priorities are her family and exploring her new life in York. In her spare time, she enjoys art, photography, and movies. A self-described animal lover, she can’t help but stop to say hello to every dog she meets. Kelly relishes the opportunity to contribute to the caring, patient-centred ethos that defines Coppergate Clinic, bringing a genuine passion for patient-centred care to her role as Theatre Assistant.
