Miss Ciarstan McArdle

Consultant Plastic Surgeon | MBChB | FRCS (Plast)

Having worked within some of the U.K.’s largest plastic surgery units, Consultant Plastic Surgeon Miss Ciarstan McArdle has a specialist interest in microsurgery and perineal reconstruction. Ciarstan joined the team at Coppergate Clinic in 2023, where she is pleased to offer patients a range of plastic surgery including cosmetic procedures, skin oncology and reconstructive surgery.

Alongside her private work at Coppergate Clinic, Ciarstan works as a Substantive Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS trust.

Fully accredited and U.K. trained, Ciarstan is a member of both BAPRAS and BAAPS and is also on the GMC specialist register for plastic surgery.

Professional experience

Prior to completing basic surgical training in southern Ireland, Ciarstan studied medicine at the University of Dundee. Following this, Ciarstan went on to spend 2 years working on research at the Network of Excellence for Functional Biomaterials at the University of Galway, before going on to complete a microsurgical, perineal, and surgical oncology fellowship at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.

Over the course of her career, Ciarstan has also worked within the plastic surgery units at Newcastle, Bristol and Leeds hospitals.
