Professional experience

Chris is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is also on the GMC Specialist Register for plastic surgery.

Chris studied medicine at the University of Sheffield and qualified as a doctor in 2004 with a 1st Class Honours in Medical Science. He performed his Basic Surgical Training in Yorkshire, before moving to Edinburgh to complete his Higher Surgical Training in plastic surgery.

In 2018 Chris was awarded a highly prestigious Advanced Training Fellowship in cosmetic surgery, the highest recognised training programme in cosmetic surgery which also allowed him to train with world leading cosmetic surgeons. He returned to Leeds in 2019 to complete further fellowships in sarcoma, lower limb reconstruction, and microsurgery, and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

Chris has developed a particular interest in facial plastic surgery and regularly visits other consultants in the UK, Europe, and the USA to ensure his practice is at the forefront of cosmetic surgery. As a result, he is one of few surgeons able to offer extended deep plane face and neck lifts which is widely regarded as the gold standard in modern facelift techniques.

Throughout his career Chris has also been involved in research. During his training he was awarded a PhD from the University of Edinburgh for his internationally award-winning research on stem cells within fat and their regenerative potential. He has written multiple book chapters, is published widely in the scientific and surgical literature, and his work is presented globally.
