A brow lift in Leeds rejuvenates the eye area by lifting the skin and soft tissue between the brow and the hairline.
The surgical brow lift, sometimes known as a forehead lift, restores a smoother forehead and a more wide-eyed and youthful appearance to the whole face.
Saggy eyebrows, lines, and wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes are common results of ageing, as the skin loses its elasticity and droops. However, lowered brows, hooded upper eyelids, and a furrowed forehead can make you look tired and even angry, affecting social interaction and self-esteem.
We frequently perform eye-brow lifts at our highly respected plastic surgery clinic near Leeds. Our surgeons always achieve excellent results, and patients find the brow lift a big confidence boost.

Our plastic surgeons use two types of brow lift – the coronal brow lift and the temporal brow lift.
The choice of technique depends on how ageing has affected your eyebrow area and on the desired result.
The two options will be fully discussed with you at your brow lift consultation, and your plastic surgeon will advise you on the best way to achieve optimal results.
All patients have a thorough consultation before any procedure, which includes taking a full medical history to ensure that they are a good candidate for a forehead lift. We never rush our patients into making a decision, and you will have plenty of time to discuss your questions or concerns about the procedure.
Surgeons using this brow lift technique make one continuous incision across the top of the head. The skin is lifted, and excess skin is removed. The underlying tissues are remodelled to create a smoother forehead and a refreshed eye area.
This technique is only suitable for those with thick hair and who are not at risk of a receding hairline.
In this technique, the incisions are made on the forehead below the hairline, but the rest of the procedure is the same as the coronal brow lift.
The procedure takes one to two hours and is usually performed using a general anaesthetic.
We suggest taking a week or two off work to heal and avoiding strenuous activity for around a month.
There will be swelling and bruising immediately after surgery. Sleeping upright, avoiding bending over, and keeping your head elevated as much as possible for at least two days after surgery will help the swelling go down. It may also help to apply regular ice packs to the forehead area
You may have a bad headache after your brow lift surgery, but simple over-the-counter pain relief should be enough to manage any post-operative discomfort.
Your recovery will be monitored at a follow-up appointment with your plastic surgeon.
Your brow area will look smoother and more lifted immediately, but it may take up to six weeks for all the swelling to subside and for the final result to be visible.
The excess skin is permanently removed, however, brow lift surgery cannot stop the ageing process completely. Frown lines and wrinkles may develop in the future and eventually, the skin will start to sag.
We are here for the whole of your ageing process and will be able to offer surgical and nonsurgical treatments to ensure that you always look your best and feel confident in your appearance.
A surgical brow lift can be performed as a single procedure or combined with another cosmetic procedure like a facelift or corrective surgery to the upper eyelids.
Brow lift surgery shares all the same possible risks as any surgical procedure, including bleeding, bruising, and infection.
However, the skill of our surgeons, the rigorous standards used in our operating theatre and the close supervision of patients in our recovery room mean that the risk of serious complications is low.
Post-surgical healing is monitored at regular follow-up appointments where any issues are picked up and managed immediately.
The brow lift procedure costs from £4 440.
If your consultant feels it is not time to have brow lift surgery, they may suggest a non-surgical brow lift using Botox injections.
Regular Botox treatments may give the desired effect until it is time for a full brow lift.
