Fat Freezing

CoolSculpting is the world’s most popular non-invasive fat freezing treatment. Utilising the system’s ground-breaking cryolipolysis (fat freezing) technology, our Aesthetic Therapists are able to devise a tailor-made programme of body sculpting and fat reduction sessions, delivering noticeable results with maximum efficiency and no down-time.

CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution per se but can be highly effective in streamlining and sculpting large areas of the body including the abdomen, flanks, bra fat pads, inner and outer thighs, and underarms.

  • What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is one of the world’s most popular non-invasive fat freezing treatments. CoolSculpting utilises the ground-breaking cryolipolysis technology to freeze stomach fat and other problem areas. Here at Coppergate Clinic, our Aesthetic Therapists are able to devise your very own tailor-made programme of body sculpting and fat freezing treatment sessions to deliver noticeable results.

CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution, rather a highly effective way to streamline and sculpt large areas of the body. Areas that can be treated with CoolSculpting include the abdomen, flanks, bra fat pads, inner and outer thighs and the underarms.

  • How does the treatment work?

The CoolSculpting system relies on revolutionary cryolipolysis (fat freezing) technology. Fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than the cells in other surrounding tissues, which allows CoolSculpting to safely deliver precisely controlled cooling to fat cells underneath the skin.

A CoolSculpting fat freezing treatment causes the fat cells to crystallise and undergo natural cell death, called apoptosis. After a fat freezing treatment, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead cells, leaving a more sculpted physique.

  • How is the treatment carried out?

As every client’s body, skin and required goals are unique to the individual, a detailed consultation with one of our expert Aesthetic Therapists is essential prior to undergoing any advanced non-surgical treatment. During this consultation prior to a CoolSculpting treatment, your Aesthetic Therapist will discuss any problem areas, desired improvements, options available (which may include no treatments at all) and expected outcomes.

A thorough medical history will be recorded and photographs will be taken to document your starting point before undertaking a treatment to freeze stomach fat. Should a course of CoolSculpting be agreed upon as the most suitable system to address your concerns, your Aesthetician will devise a bespoke programme of treatment, with each session lasting from upwards of 90 minutes depending on the area. Your Therapist will invite you to lay back and relax whilst the CoolSculpting system is programmed and attached. Once the procedure is complete the session will conclude with a vigorous massage to the treated area.

  • What results should I expect?

As every client and CoolSculpting fat freezing treatment is unique, your aesthetician will discuss the specific expected outcomes of the programme prior to your initial treatment session. Widely speaking, you may start to see changes as early as three weeks after completion of your CoolSculpting procedure, with the most dramatic results experienced after three months. Your body will continue to naturally process and eliminate the injured fat cells for approximately four months after your procedure.

  • How does the treatment feel?

The CoolSculpting fat freezing treatment is non-surgical, non-invasive and-on the whole- completely painless. During the first few minutes of treatment, you may feel some pressure, deep pulling and intense cold. This soon dissipates and most people do not experience any further discomfort throughout the treatment.

  • Is there any downtime?

CoolSculpting is non-surgical, non-invasive, requires no anaesthetic and has no downtime. Occasionally mild discomfort may be experienced during and immediately after the procedure, with temporary side-effects also possible but generally short-lived. These may include temporary numbness, redness, swelling or firmness of the treatment area, localised bruising, tingling or stinging.
